We were honoured to attend the cadet careers fair where we had the opportunity to speak to the Sea Cadets, Army Cadets, and Air Training Corps members aged 15 to 18, along with their adult instructions (CFAVs) and parents, from Yorkshire, The Humber, and Northeast Lincolnshire. At the event, we shared information about work experience, career opportunities, and apprenticeship placements.
The Army Cadet Force offers valuable chances for personal growth and leadership training. Through our commitment to these programs, our goal is to empower young individuals with the necessary skills and experiences to emerge as resilient, capable leaders prepared to create a meaningful impact on the world.
Subhash Chatterjee, Managing Director, quoted:
“It was great to engage with a wide variety of Cadets from the region along with numerous businesses who had signed the Armed Forces Covenant and pledged their support for the Armed Forces.”
Keava Lennon, ESG Lead, who attended the event says:
“We found that the cadets who attended the event were quite engaging with us at the Careers Fair as a whole. We had the opportunity to speak to some very bright, driven and informed young people about their career aspirations, and how they might find a role to align with their goals at One SC Media. Some already knew the company, and many were knowledgeable in the field and working towards A Levels and GCSE in relevant subject fields. We were able to give them information about our apprenticeships available at One SC Media and the training we deliver. Our stand offered cadets an opportunity an insight into some of the real work carried out by our team from design and content creation.”
At the core of our organisational values is our dedication to supporting the Armed Forces and the Cadet Forces. The event presents our commitment and active participation in providing support programs that closely align with the framework of the MOD Employer
Recognition Scheme. The main objective of this initiative is to support and advocate for military personnel, both current and past, as well as their associates. This involves providing development opportunities that integrate their present or past service commitments with their civilian employment. Additionally, we are dedicated to aiding and endorsing charities that focus on the welfare of the armed forces.
